Founder & CEO of A Helping Hand Global

Jan 2017 - May 2019
Self-Employed
My non-profit gave away free menstrual Care Kits to anyone in need. These free Care Kits contained tampons, pads, pain relievers, sanitizing hand wipes, feminine wipes, & reusable menstrual cups. I focused on gaining donations from large companies like Tampax or Kotex because every single batch created there are products deemed unacceptable to sell, usually from only exterior issues like misprints or damaged boxes. I asked for the items set aside because they're usually disposed of & now it's turned into a tax deduction for the company as well as free positive press. My largest donation was from Anigan that donated reusable menstrual cups that was valued over $12,000. Not only do menstrual cups last up to 10 years, they also keep tampons & pads out of the landfills. All items were given away in waterproof tins to protect the items for anyone houseless. Every Care Kit was also uniquely decorated by myself, community volunteers or volunteers representing the disability community in Vancouver, Wasington. The first batch of Care Kits were sent to Must Ministries, another 501(c)(3) that were more adequately prepared for distribution.

dependable, compassionate, and trustworthy.I think patience and compassion are essential. This is a job that requires a lot of tolerance for challenging situations, and good communication and a positive attitude also go a long way. Additionally, you need endurance and physical ability to support patients with certain tasks
